Dental Bridges
A gap is not something you want to see in your smile; however, one can form when multiple consecutive teeth are missing. To fix this problem, we can use a dental bridge. Using two dental crowns that fit over altered, healthy abutment teeth, the remaining pontics (artificial teeth) that bridge the two crowns together rest on top of the gums. This serves to bridge the gap left behind by missing teeth. With proper care, these restorations can last 10-15 years before they need to be replaced.
Dentures
When multiple teeth within an arch fall out or are extracted but are not next to one another, a partial denture can be created. When an entire row of teeth is missing, a full denture can be used. Made of acrylic bases that match the natural shade of soft oral tissue and support artificial teeth, dentures can deliver complete, functional smiles in a less invasive way. Keeping these prosthetics in place requires a metal framework and clasps for partials, while natural suction and adhesive help full dentures to remain stable.
Dental Implants
Artificial teeth that can last 30+ years were once only a dream, but it is now a reality thanks to dental implants. Made of titanium, these stronger, more durable posts offer a stable foundation for custom crowns, bridges, and dentures. Once surgically placed within the jawbone, they fuse with the surrounding tissues to create a supportive base. Once the custom restoration is secured on top, it can remain in place for decades, allowing you to enjoy better oral health and a more youthful appearance.
